Outcomes of Paed’s Healer Week

The Rotary Club of Floréal is pleased to share the successful outcomes of Paed’s Healer Week, organized in collaboration with the Narayana Medical Centre of Bangalore and the Ministry of Health and Wellness from 1st to 7th September 2023.

During this week, a team of consultants from the Narayana Medical Centre performed 11 surgeries and attended to 118 patients, all of whom had complex cases requiring specialized care.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ashley Lucien D’Cruz, Dr. Vinay Chandrashekar, Dr. Sunil Bhat, Dr. Sahana Shankar, and Dr. Anilkumar Sapare for so kindly and enthusiastically accepting our invitation to travel to Mauritius and provide their services free of charge for the benefit of Mauritian children during the Paed’s Healer Week.

The Rotary Club of Floréal is deeply grateful to the Narayana Medical Centre for their positive response to our request for treatment and for facilitating the transfer of skills to Mauritian GPs and specialists across various pediatric disciplines.

We also wish to thank the Ministry of Health and Wellness and the senior medical and administrative personnel of Regional Hospitals and the New Cancer Hospital for the facilities and services they provided throughout the week.
