Rotary Club of Floreal
Lighting the Torch of Leadership at St Joseph’s College
With a heart brimming with joy, I had the immense honour of attending the Charter Ceremony of the Interact Club of St Joseph’s College on Thursday, 22nd May 2025 — a milestone in District 9220 as we welcome yet another vibrant club into our Interact family. Proudly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Floreal, this new club marks the beginning of a beautiful journey in youth leadership and service.
What made this moment truly special for me was the privilege of accompanying these remarkable youngsters from day one — witnessing their passion grow, their ideas take shape, and their unity transform a dream into reality. It has been an incredibly fulfilling journey to guide, support, and share in their excitement every step of the way. Their enthusiasm, commitment, and leadership have been nothing short of inspiring.
As District Interact Officer, I extend my deepest gratitude to:
Mrs. Marie Lise Yan, Rector of St Joseph’s College, for her genuine openness, unwavering support, and fruitful collaboration throughout our many meetings.
The dedicated Club Advisors, whose presence and guidance gave these students the strength and direction they needed.
President Sunil Bheeroo and the members of the Rotary Club of Floreal, for believing in the power of youth to lead positive change.
District Governor Marie Francoise Randriamanga, whose approval and endorsement were instrumental in officially chartering the club.
My warmest congratulations to the newly inducted members of the Interact Club, under the leadership of the dynamic President Adyan Peerun. You are the trailblazers — the very first team to write the chapter of Interact at St Joseph’s College.
The Charter Ceremony was a truly memorable and emotional celebration — from the soul-stirring national anthem performed by the college choir, to the powerful speeches filled with sincerity, to the energy and talent of the student MCs. Every moment radiated authenticity and hope. The presence of the Presidents of the Interact Clubs of Queen Elizabeth College and Forest Side Girls SSS, as well as the President of the Old Boys’ Association, made it even more meaningful — a true showcase of fellowship and shared vision.
To all the Interactors, Board Members, and especially to President Adyan — may your journey be filled with purpose, impact, and joy. May you build friendships, lead with compassion, and leave footprints of change in your school, your community, and beyond. This is just the beginning of something extraordinary.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the opportunity to walk this journey with you. Let us continue to spark the magic of Interact — one act of service, one smile, and one dream at a time.
Long live the Interact Club of St Joseph’s College.
